FAQ – Alaska Home Pack

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I am out of town and can’t receive my Home Pack for the month?

You can do three things:

1. Prearrange with a neighbor or local friend that you trust to receive your shipment. You must change your account’s shipping information accordingly. (Be sure to tell them to put the contents in their freezer when they receive it.)  We are not liable of your neighbor’s mistreatment of your seafood.

2. Gift your shipment to a friend by changing your account’s shipping information.

3. Put your shipment account on pause until you come back.

Can I have my Home Pack mailed out on a different Monday?

At this time we cannot change shipment days. In the future, when we have more Home Packs to send out, we will have additional shipping days available.

Is there a way to recycle the styrofoam container?

We can send you a shipping label to send your container to a recycling facility. Be sure to empty your styrofoam container, tape the lid shut (no need to use the cardboard box), label your box, and drop it off at your nearest FedEx location.

How long does the fish stay good after it is thawed?

Your fish will stay good for 7 days after it has been thawed.

Can I set up sending out Home Packs to a friend for a year as a gift, in addition to my own?

Yes, you can gift Home Packs simultaneously to your own.
