FAQ – Alaska Home Pack

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I am out of town and can’t receive my Home Pack for the month?

You can do three things:

1. Prearrange with a neighbor or local friend that you trust to receive your shipment. You must change your account’s shipping information accordingly. (Be sure to tell them to put the contents in their freezer when they receive it.)  We are not liable of your neighbor’s mistreatment of your seafood.

2. Gift your shipment to a friend by changing your account’s shipping information.

3. Put your shipment account on pause until you come back.

Can I have my Home Pack shipped out on a different day?

Yes we can! We normally ship out around the time your Home Pack is purchased. If you need it pushed back to a different day/week, etc let us know and we will hold it and ship it out at a different time.  Same goes for your subscription, if you know you need it sent at a different time call or email us.

Is there a way to recycle the styrofoam container?

All our seafood boxes include a preprinted/prepaid FedEx label addressed to a Styrofoam recycling center. After emptying your Styrofoam container, tape the lid shut (no need to use the cardboard box), apply the preprinted label, and drop it off at one of the 20,0000 shipping locations available through FedEx. Find a FedEx drop location near you here.

How long does the fish stay good after it is thawed?

Your fish will stay good for 7 days after it has been thawed.

Can I set up sending out Home Packs to a friend for a year as a gift, in addition to my own?

Yes, you can gift Home Packs simultaneously to your own.
